Bulli 20 – Oakura Beach Holiday Park

The location is going to be the Beautiful sea side camp at Oakura Taranaki. Plenty of sites, foodie places, a Pub within walking distance and good old Taranaki hospitality …JUST LIKE YOU ARE USED TO!

We have booked out the  Beach front powered sites 35 – 50, Lands End powered sites 62 – 76. Also non-powered sites 103 – 113…Basically from the facilities area, south .

Fully Self-Contained Units, Ensuite Units and Standard Units are also available.

Showers are 50 cents for 5 minutes.

They have  worked out a flat rate for the bulli of $20 per adult per night and $10 per child per night – Roughly a 15% discount for the members.

Also pets can stay too at that time of year, as long as they are cleaned up after, controlled and do not wander on to other sites.

Weekend programme

Friday night at Saturday morning are very casual as always, with lots to see and do around the town and ‘burbs. You will get a what to do in the ‘Naki flyer when you arrive (first 40).

1pm on Saturday afternoon, we will try and meet at WR Phillips VW Dealer car park beside the Len Lye centre.

From there we will leave one at a time, past the famous stainless steel structure to the also famous Te Rewa rewa bridge. Photos will be taken as you leave.

Once we are all at the bridge, those who want to can hope on their retro bikes, retro skateboards or roller skates and dress up in their retro gear and head along the also famous walkway to the port . Excited yet👍😉

Please arrange to have someone drive your wagon to the end or run you back to pick up your wagon from the star point.

It is a very easy bike ride so don’t be shy! There will be some prizes handed out later on in the day.

At about 3-3.30 we will leave the port in a loose convoy (those that didn’t make Len Lye, may want to meet us there), and Cruize back out to Oakura, stopping at Butlers for a wine or pint. We will try and organise a group park up if practical.

After that we will head down to Oakura Beach Camp to the club Gazebos, and all get together for a BYO Pot luck ‘Chip and Dip’ , about 4.30ish. For those non kiwis who don’t know, Pot luck means you bring a little something to share….

There is a great 4 Square, petrol station, Indian, fish and chip, amazing wood fired pizza and more, pub with pub meals and Asian influenced eateries all within walking distance.
